Our Story
With over 20 years of combined experience in the green industry at one of the UK’s first EV charging companies, we understand how complex it can be.
We only started to feel the weight of reporting and reducing our own emissions, when we listed the company and started ESG reporting.
Collecting and measuring data through our supply chain became a major task, and we had minimal resources to tackle it, and none left to reduce carbon and benefit from the savings.
So we set up Wadi to help companies make savings by reducing carbon. We brought together experts from across the industry to provide advice in bite-sized calls to make it affordable, and we simplified the process for companies to engage and enable their own supply chains.
Our Co-Founders
As Jarred had run two small businesses and Gill had worked in a large FMCG company for 15 years, they brought different viewpoints to their 10 years helping scale a company from start-up to IPO. Both believed that complexity and cost were the biggest barriers to companies adopting a more sustainable approach, and were driven to find a better solution.
Why Wadi
A Wadi is an Arabic name for a dry riverbed that fills during the rainy season. The water is critical for nomadic tribes, so the Wadi becomes a gathering place for people to share resources.
Inspired by this, we are creating a place where a community of experts come together with companies to share their expertise in an affordable way, to help build resilience across all uk businesses.
We love this idea. Everyone benefits.
